Launched in November 2003, Dinamo 103.8 is Istanbul’s premier electronic/dance/indie/urban music radio station. Apart from discovering and broadcasting the best of what independent music has to offer, Dinamo prides itself on spawning creative platforms for talented artists and djs to flourish.
After broadcasting on Istanbul's 103.8 FM for 10 years, we decided to cease our terrestrial broadcast to focus on mobile and the web. In this day and age of smartphones, mobile connections and wi-fi everywhere, broadcasting on a single FM channel feels like being grounded on a Saturday night. And we like Saturday nights.
We now broadcast multiple channels fit for every mood. The music here at dinamo.fm is played by humans, not robots. Most music services use robots and APIs to create their playlists, but not us. Every channel has humans who curate and caress them. We're hoping that you will feel that human touch and enjoy the music we share.
In addition to broadcasting, Dinamo has organized more than 200 events ranging from parties, launch events, concerts and festivals. Over the years we hosted many talented artist from around the globe in Istanbul and around Turkey: Orbital, John Digweed, Tom Middleton, François K, Sven Vath, DJ Harvey, Damian Lazarus, Mr. C, Sandy Rivera, Trentemoller, Locodice, Nouvelle Vague, Jazzanova, Goldie, Groove Armada, Kelis, Marilyn Manson, Beirut, The Magic Numbers, just to name a few.
